Physics Textbooks

Physics for future Presidents is an excellent textbook which covers physics without requiring high level math.

I have used Apologia Physics as the textbook for AP Physics.  The unit structure fit well with our once per week classes.  However, it is needlessly divided into two years.  It really should be a one year course, not two years.  Some students used the basic book, and some used the advanced book.

Saxon Physics would also work well, but the smaller chapters are harder to integrate into weekly classes.

Best would be Isaac Asimov's Understanding Physics, but unfortunately it has no exercises to go with the text.  Exercises are essential for preparing for a test, but this is highly recommended reading.

Feynmann's Lectures on Physics are also great, if you want something more advanced.
